Critical Systems Technician I
POSITION SUMMARY: The Critical Systems Technician I will serve as an apprentice level technician for all CPG mission-critical electrical services/maintenances under contract. The position will be responsible for monitoring compliance with contractual commitments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assist with installation, service, testing, commissioning, maintenance and operations of switchgear, relays, substations and electrical equipment. Assist with specialized commissioning/testing of systems. Respond to service calls as required. Perform preventive maintenance services (PM) on contracted gear and other components. Other duties as assigned by Critical Systems Technicians Leads or Services Management Respond to service calls as required. Associates Degree in electronics, electrical theory, or similar discipline requires highly desirable or equivalent work experience. Military training is an acceptable equivalent to a formal degree. 2-3 years of field repair/customer service experience with ups, electrical, electro-mechanical, or electronics-related equipment or three to five years of mission critical specific product experience required. Knowledge of Critical Power Systems. Experience with critical power equipment, including UPS, switchgear, batteries, monitoring equipment, generators, etc. Ability to read and understand one-line diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. Organizational Skills. Maintain valid state vehicle operator's license. Computer Skills: Technical Writing skills, including use of Word, Excel, MS Project. Technical and troubleshooting skills. Testing experience per NETA and NICET.
