This is a high-impact role spanning concept design, proof-of-concept validation, and full-scale implementation of a reusable compliance automation service.What You'll DoDesign a scalable architecture for automated OSS licence clearance, including input data structures and human-readable compliance reportsDefine approaches for identifying licence risks/obligations and assessing them in the context of specific software componentsBuild a deterministic algorithm for licence clearing decisions, with clear, auditable reasoningDevelop and validate a proof-of-concept against real-world components, refining the approach based on findingsImplement the solution as a scalable, reusable automation pipeline, onboarding a large majority of components in the target ecosystemDeliver high-quality, audit-ready compliance reports as part of the pipeline outputWhat We're Looking ForMust-have:Strong experience in OSS licence compliance / open-source governanceSolid backend or full-stack software engineering skillsHands-on experience with dependency analysis / SBOM (Software Bill of Materials)Experience with licence scanning tools (e.g., FOSSA, Black Duck, or similar)Nice-to-have:Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automationKnowledge of software compliance, security, or legal requirementsExperience integrating compliance tooling into developer platforms or portalsExperience with .NETExperience applying AI to extract information from licence texts or otherwise enhance compliance workflowsWhy This RoleYou'll have the opportunity to build a foundational compliance capability from the ground up — shaping architecture, tooling, and process for an automation pipeline that will scale across a major software ecosystem and become a reusable service across the organisation.
