General Manager

DescriptionThe General Manager is responsible for the overall success of a Jalapeño Tree restaurant, leading all daily operations with a focus on quality, service, cleanliness, and team development. This includes oversight of front and back-of-house operations, labor scheduling, inventory management, and financial performance.The GM drives guest satisfaction, ensures consistent execution of Crazy Good Mexican FoodTM, and fosters a positive, inclusive workplace. Responsibilities include training and developing managers and hourly staff, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, resolving guest issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding brand standards. All new managers will complete initial training at the Jalapeño Tree in Tyler, TX, before assuming their home store responsibilities.RequirementsExperience & Qualifications:2+ years as a General Manager or strong Assistant Manager in a full-service or fast-paced restaurantHigh school diploma or GED requiredValid driver's licenseMust be at least 21 years oldSkills & Traits:Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skillsExcellent communication and guest service abilitiesSolid understanding of budgeting, cost controls, and P&L managementProficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office toolsSelf-motivated, dependable, and detail-orientedPhysical Requirements:Able to stand, walk, bend, and move at a rapid pace for extended periodsAble to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot/cold environmentsMust be able to work 50-55 hours per week, including weekends and holidaysBenefits:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation (1 week after 6 months)401(k) Employee Retirement PlanCompetitive salary and rich bonus structureOpportunities for growth and advancement
