The Pre-Delivery Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and presentation of machines before delivery. This position is responsible for inspecting equipment, performing minor assembly tasks, installing customer options and decals, and guaranteeing compliance with internal and customer quality standards. The Pre-Delivery Inspector is considered a safety-sensitive positionResponsibilitiesInspection & Quality Control DutiesPerforms detailed Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on machines to ensure technical, functional, and aesthetic compliance.Verifies all safety and operational functions are working properly.Checks machines for cosmetic damage and ensures overall cleanliness and presentation.Maintains accurate documentation of inspection results using the reporting app.Verifies the correct configuration and options according to customer requirements.Conducts periodic exercises on machines that have been stored for longer durations to ensure proper operation.Minor Assembly & Installation DutiesInstalls customer-requested options on specific machines.Applies custom decals and stickers according to specifications.All this is always carried out in accordance with our company's quality, environmental, and health policies.QualificationsPrevious experience in mechanical inspection or equipment quality control is a plus.Technical understanding of construction or industrial machinery.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections.Ability to read and follow technical documentation and work instructions.Ability to work independently and in a team.Familiarity with basic tools and safe handling practices.Proficiency in operating construction equipment, aerial work platforms, and forklifts is preferred.Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs and climb up, under, around, and over large equipment; comfortable working in small, confined spaces, and at heights of up to 30 feet in a non-climate-controlled environment.Our Culture (A work in progress!)At Aertssen, our motto is “People, Power, and Passion to Build On.” That’s the culture we are working toward.
