Project DescriptionAs a Full Stack Engineer at Pandora, you will play a critical role in buildingscalable, resilient AI services and platform capabilities that bring advanced AI to production.Your primary focus is infrastructure and backend engineering, designing and operating highperformance standardized systems, while your full-stack experience enables you to contributeacross the product surface and integrate AI features seamlessly into end-to-end experiences.You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, MLOps, and Productstakeholders to build the backbones for production-grade AI-powered solutions on the MicrosoftAzure platform, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, efficient and maintainable.We're seeking someone with great written and spoken communication who combines strongtechnical craft with a pragmatic approach to shipping high-quality platform services. Join us tohelp shape the future of intelligent applications in a collaborative, forward-thinking, and impactdriven team.Responsibilities• Design and develop scalable backend services and platform components that exposeAI/ML capabilities, contributing to frontend surfaces where needed.• Build, secure, and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes, includingconfiguration management, observability, debugging, and security hardening.• Design and implement high-performance, production-grade backend in Python, withopenness to systems-level languages (Rust or Go) where performance and scalabilitydemands require it.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productize AI solutions on Azure, applyingdomain knowledge to configure and critically evaluate the infrastructure and AI gatewaylayers that underpin those solutions.• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment, testing, and monitoring of AIenabled applications.• Ensure performance, availability, and maintainability of solutions in production andhandle incidents in a timely manner to reduce MTTC.• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to enforce engineering bestpractices.• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement ofdevelopment processesSkills RequiredQualifications:Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ora related field.Experience:3–6 years of experience as a Full-Stack or Backend Engineer, with a demonstrableemphasis on backend and platform engineering.Experience working with generative AI features or LLM-based integrations in a productor platform context.Retail industry or e-commerce experience is highly desirable.Technical Skills:Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including service architecture, REST API design,performance optimization, and production reliability; hands-on experience with Docker,Kubernetes, and Azure App ServicesProficient in Python for backend development; experience with high-performance languagessuch as Rust or Go is a plusExperience with platform-level testing (API integration, load/performance with Locust/k6,authentication flows, E2E for ML endpoints) and test automation in CI/CD pipelinesHands-on Kubernetes experience, including workload configuration, networking, security,and production debugging; familiarity with Azure cloud services and network configurationExperience with ML serving infrastructure, including optimization, multi-layer caching, andexposing AI-powered features using LLM APIs and prompt integrationStrong proficiency in PostgreSQL, with experience in data querying and analysisExperience configuring API/AI gateways (e.g., Kong or Azure API Management) forproduction-scale workloads is a plusFrontend exposure (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Next.js) is beneficial but not requiredSoft Skills:Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of ateamEngagement Model: Direct Independent Contractor (Please read carefully)This is an independent contractor opportunity based on a direct contractual relationship between Zoolatech and the individual service provider.To facilitate this direct partnership, we engage with professionals who are registered and operate as a sole proprietorship, private entrepreneur, or an equivalent self-employment status in your country.Please note, our model does not accommodate contracts through third-party intermediaries such as agencies, incubators, or umbrella companies.
