CDL Driver
The RoleThis role supports the movement of raw materials and finished goods across Shinkei’s operational network in Washington.The CDL Driver will be responsible for transportation between the Port of Chinook, the Tacoma processing plant, and airport freight locations, ensuring shipments move safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position plays an important role in maintaining operational continuity across logistics, procurement, and plant operations.The role is part of the centralized Operations & Logistics function, with day-to-day coordination and support based locally in Tacoma.What You’ll DoTransport raw materials and finished goods between:Port of ChinookTacoma processing facilityAirport freight shipping locationsSafely operate company commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT and company safety standardsCoordinate daily schedules, pickups, and deliveries with Logistics, Procurement, Dock Operations, and Plant Operations teamsConduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptlyMaintain accurate transportation logs, manifests, and shipment documentationSupport loading and unloading activities while ensuring cargo is secured and handled properlyCommunicate proactively regarding delays, route changes, or operational issuesContribute to efficient day-to-day operations through reliability, professionalism, and strong teamworkWhat You Will NeedValid CDL Class A license with a clean driving recordExperience operating commercial vehicles in logistics, freight, transportation, or industrial environmentsStrong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation safety practicesComfortable working in fast-paced operational environments with changing prioritiesDependable, punctual, and highly organizedClear communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindsetAble to work independently while coordinating closely with onsite operations teamsBonus If You Have Experience WithExperience with port operations, airport freight logistics, or seafood/food distribution environmentsForklift certification or warehouse loading experienceFamiliarity with refrigerated freight or cold-chain logistics
