We seek a student-centered educator with academic preparation and/or professional experience that allows them to teach across multiple subfields within computing sciences, including artificial intelligence.The PRODiG+CC program is an initiative supported by SUNY system aiming to: Increase the number and share of excellent diverse community college faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; (2) strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of these candidates; and (3) hire qualified faculty directly into tenure-track positions to support the community colleges efforts to build an educated workforce in the state.The PRODiG+CC Program is open to any and all prospective candidates regardless of race, color, national origin, or sex, and is consistent with all current governing federal and state nondiscrimination law. All application submissions will be assessed and evaluated in accordance with the required eligibility criteria.The ideal candidate has experience working with artificial intelligence and has the ability to teach in additional areas such as programming (e.g., Java, Python), cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, software or game development, or related computing disciplines. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and evolving curriculum designed to prepare students for transfer and employment in high-demand technology fields.As an FLCC faculty member, you will collaborate with a supportive team of colleagues to expand interdisciplinary computing offerings, deliver innovative curriculum across modalities, and help students build the technical, analytical, and ethical foundations necessary for success in a rapidly advancing digital landscape.
