You will own the technical direction and delivery of a critical piece of our infrastructure, while growing and developing your team in a fast-moving, global environment.Your Contribution Will BeLead the technical evolution of the merchant experience, focused on Core platform, APIs, and payment integrationsOwn system and integration architecture connecting backend services and payment flowsContribute hands-on to development, architecture decisions, and code reviewsEnsure scalable, maintainable, and well-documented solutions for enterprise merchantsCollaborate with Product, Backend, and Payments teams to align platform and merchant needsDrive engineering best practices in API design, testing, and performanceSupport and mentor engineers through technical guidance and architectural directionQualificationsProven experience managing and growing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.Strong ability to drive technical decision-making and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.Experience in payments companies , payments-related teams or with PSP integrations.Deep experience in payments infrastructure, including network tokens, routing, and transaction optimisation.Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Solid hands-on backend engineering experience, with proficiency in Java, Golang, Kotlin or similar languages.Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns.Experience with SQL and relational databases.Knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP principles.Champion of AI-first development — experience setting standards for AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and code generation using LLMs and tools like Claude Code or similar.Experience delivering in agile environments, adapting processes to what actually works for the team.Advanced English; conversational Spanish is a plus.What they offerCompetitive Compensation.Remote Work – You can work from everywhere!Home Office Bonus – A one-time allowance to help you create your ideal home office.Work Equipment.Stock Options.Health Plan wherever you are.Flexible Days Off.Professional, and Personal Growth courses.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analysing resumes, or assessing responses.
