Essential duties and skills: Your primary duty will be to bring your project to successful completion with some guidance from the engineering manager. This includes but is not limited to: Calculate structural loads according to the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code , IBC and other Building Codes; Analyze structures using various structural engineering software; Prepare structural calculations, structural plans, and details of structural elements for various materials; Field inspections and consultation with clients at the direction of the manager; Project administration duties and general duties as assigned by the manager; Familiarity with the following building systems: Wood light frame Heavy timber Hot rolled steel Light gauge steel Reinforced concrete Reinforced masonry Required education and experience: Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering (minimum) Experience: 0-4 years and E.I.T. certification Software: Experience with at least one commercially available structural analysis software such as RISA, STAAD, ANSIS or SAAP is required.
