The successful candidate will be a part of the team responsible for developing and delivering cyber capabilities to Space Force cyber operators. We are looking for an innovative, creative and highly motivated individual with operational cyber expertise and experience designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining cyber capabilities, and space and ground system architectures to support strategic planning and system acquisition across Space Combat Power portfoliosThe Horizon program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have a background with the Department of Defense major capability acquisition process. Horizon team members provide systems acquisitions and program management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government throughout the full lifecycle of systems acquisition processes that enable in most instances, rapid fielding to meet warfighter needs.This position is located in El Segundo, CASupporting various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessmentsProvide expert advice to the Senior Program Director, Program Managers, and support staff regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and executionProvide contracting assistance to technical personnel involved in development of performance work statement, statement of work, or data deliverable requirements for variety of pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions (e.g., Requirement, SOW, CDRLs, Incentive Plans, etc.)Ensuring the cybersecurity architecture and design of the customer's systems are functional and secure with the ability to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover from cyber-attackDraft technical evaluations and function as an advisor in source selectionsProvide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor designs and milestone reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirementsEnsure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerforming engineering analysis such as edge-node vulnerability assessments and develops technical requirements for payloads based on findings; payload to platform integration; system software code reviewsSupporting development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes, epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development effortsQualificationsRequirementsBachelors and nine (9) years or more experience Must have an in-scope background investigation (SSBI/T5) and the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Program accesses as well as be willing to consent to a polygraph examinationExperience with cybersecurity integration with major weapons systems and cyber operationsWorking across space and ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements that ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are metTarget salary range $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
