# Senior Cloud Data Engineer## OverviewSeeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-based data solutions and end-to-end data pipelines. The role focuses on AWS, Snowflake, Informatica IICS, SQL, Python, Airflow, enterprise data architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, and decentralized architectures such as Data Mesh.## Key Responsibilities* Design and develop cloud-based data management systems and enterprise data platforms.* Design and implement data pipelines using centralized and decentralized data architectures, including Data Mesh.* Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines using Informatica IICS, SQL, and Python.* Design scalable, highly available, secure, and high-performance AWS and Snowflake data solutions.* Develop data layers and review ETL requirements, data models, and architecture designs.* Implement data governance, security, privacy, and cloud data management best practices.* Monitor cloud data platform performance and implement optimization strategies.* Evaluate and recommend cloud products and services for data ingestion, curation, storage, and processing.* Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow and CI/CD practices using GitHub.* Lead technical design sessions, facilitate architecture decisions, and provide technical direction.* Analyze, document, and establish best practices for cloud data engineering strategies and solutions.* Collaborate with technical stakeholders, vendors, and business users to deliver data solutions.## Required Qualifications* 5+ years of experience in data pipeline development, cloud data architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, enterprise information systems, and system engineering.* 3-5 years of experience developing AWS cloud-based data solutions.* 5+ years of experience with cloud database platforms, particularly Snowflake.* Strong experience designing and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.* 3-5 years of experience with Informatica IICS, GitHub/CI/CD, and Airflow orchestration.* Strong SQL and Python programming skills.* Experience with centralized and decentralized data architectures, including Data Mesh.* Experience working with large, multi-terabyte enterprise cloud data platforms.* Proficiency with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.* Understanding of system administration, database administration, storage architecture, backup/recovery, and networking.* Strong knowledge of cloud data security, governance, privacy, and compliance.* Experience working with sensitive healthcare information and familiarity with HIPAA and data privacy controls.* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain and propose technical solutions to business and technical stakeholders.## Preferred Qualifications* AWS or Cloud Data Engineer certification.* Snowflake certification.* Additional Informatica IICS and Airflow experience.* Tableau and/or Power BI reporting experience.
