SummaryThe Vehicle Sales Representative (VSR) is the frontline sales agent for vehicle sales, working with sales, marketing, operations, and asset management to meet sales projections and maximize proceeds while delivering high-level customer service.Job LocationNorwood, MA 02062Work ScheduleMonday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.CompensationHourly pay: $23.00 paid weekly. Monthly incentive paid based on total branch sales. Sign-on bonus: $3,000.ResponsibilitiesExecute the UTC's marketing plan, including product selection for periodicals, trade associations, and industry marketing campaigns.Coordinate outbound marketing efforts such as phone calls, marketing mailers, and thank-you cards.Act as liaison between Asset Management, Rental and Lease product lines.Maintain accuracy and content of the Lead Tracker database.Provide a complete understanding of the used vehicle marketplace and local competitors.Cover for the VSM at their location or other locations when required.Structure and sell all ancillary products (finance and extended warranty) to meet customer needs.Develop and expand relationships with existing customers using all communication avenues.Install sold signs/mark vehicles as directed.Manage overall effectiveness of the UTC website for content and data accuracy, providing feedback for development.Accountable for all vehicle inventory movement within the UTC's area of operations, including offsite and satellite locations.Maintain key tracking system for inventory management and vehicle security.Ensure vehicle quality and appearance through washing, detailing, and exercise program.Perform weekly yard checks with required documentation from off-site locations.Occasionally drive truck within UTC boundaries to align inventory.Manage unit files and sales recording systems including titling, licensing, and legal sale documents.Maintain mandatory compliance requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Safety STAR Program, and related company communications.Maintain cash log and collect funds accurately and timely.Manage UTC supply inventory and maintain vehicle sales compliance with local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.Increase location sales by assisting with all aspects of the sales process.Maximize proceeds for vehicles sold by improving retail activity.Provide sales support to the VSM to reduce sale time.Enhance and maintain customer retention through the sales process and outreach.Ensure the location is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant in all required areas.Maintain a neat and orderly work environment throughout the UTC.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesWork independently with minimal supervision.High energy, self-motivated, and self-directed.Drive multiple projects to successful completion.Multi-task, highly organized, with excellent time-management skills.Goal-oriented with a high drive for results; assertive and comfortable with ambiguity.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.Operate and self-drive in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.Proven ability to work effectively with the general public and customers.Work independently and as part of a team.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (Required).One to three years of sales and/or customer service experience (Required).Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and advanced internet use (Required).Travel1%–10% of the time.BenefitsFull-time benefits include medical, prescription, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave, and a tax-advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.Equal Opportunity StatementRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free workplace.
