Partners with Plant Management and Leadership on short-, mid- and long-term plan development Identifies implications for organizational strategy along with recommendations to support longer-term business growth.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with management to identify change management implications and leads changeReviewing and managing grievancesProactively identifies organizational needs (talent assessment, team effectiveness, staffing, etc.) and develops strategies for resolving and addressing needsDevelop/administer employee performance, management process and provide training and support in all components of performance managementSupport managers in preparing Individual Development PlansActively participates with business leadership to source, evaluate, select and on-board talentHave a complete grasp on the full cycle recruiting process, determine staffing needs, write and/or update job descriptions, posting positions, sourcing candidates, conduct and support the sourcing, phone screening and interviewing of salaried candidatesAssesses organizational capabilities and identifies gapsCoach business leaders and their teams on the development of othersLeads and facilitates management team in HR planning, assessment and succession plan reviewsTechnical HR SupportDirects, recommends and proactively communicates appropriate local implementation of HR policies, practices, and initiatives, ensures legal and regulatory compliance, including equal employment opportunity/affirmative action, wage and hour, and work authorizationDesigns, business unit specific policies and practices as neededMaintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and disciplinary actionsFosters continuous improvement by analyzing processes, monitoring effectiveness, and identifying actions to reduce complexity and/or enhance operational performanceUtilizes data to drive decisions and ensure accurate recordkeeping/data integrity is maintainedActively participates in Employee CommunicationsThe travel is subject to change due to changing business conditions and may increase from time-to-time due to required needs in other plantsThis job operates in an office and plant environmentRequirementsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field5 years of experience in HR Generalist/HR leadership positions including labor relations, policy administration, compensation, and benefitsExperience in manufacturing environment, preferably automotive relatedFamiliarity with legislation concerning employmentStrong written/verbal communication skills; good listening skills; ability to facilitate; a team player who demonstrates the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the Company and who is sensitive to cultural differences
