CDL Class A or B Household Goods Driver

divh2Driver Job Post/h2pThe responsibility of the Driver is to operate a commercial motor vehicle following all DOT rules/regulations and to transport household goods and freight for interstate or intrastate commerce between terminals, from home terminal to distant point(s) and return, and from customer to customer./ppDuties:/pulliInspect vehicle and operating equipment to determine safe operating condition prior to departure./liliCheck all paperwork to determine nature of load and any special hazards, and check load itself and methods of securing it./liliOperate vehicle in compliance with company rules and all applicable state and federal regulations, and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving./liliLoad/Deliver household goods and freight to consignees./liliCollect freight charges as instructed when required./liliPerform other related work as required./li/ulpResponsibilities:/pulliReport all accidents and incidents of equipment damage, whether owned by driver or company, and report any bodily injury involved in any accident./liliMaintain trip records as required./liliMaintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers logs, records of fuel purchases, and mileage records or any other record required by the DOT or the Company./liliProper use and care of all equipment for performance of driving duties./liliPromptly report any delays that will affect pick-up or delivery appointments./li/ulpDesired Skills and Experience:/pulliMust be at least 21 years old./liliMust possess one current Class A or B CDL issued in the state of primary residence./liliMust be physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle as required by DOT regulations./liliAbility to pass qualification requirements./liliVerifiable minimum of one year driving experience OR successfully complete a driver training course with six months experience./liliDispatch will determine place and time of driving required./liliTake and pass a pre-employment drug screen and functional test, up to date medical card./li/ulpIndependent Owner Operators:/pulliWeekly settlements/liliDynamic work environment/liliReputable industry-leading company with varied client base/li/ulpEmployee Drivers:/pulliCompetitive wages/liliCDL qualification assistance/liliReliable bi-weekly paychecks/liliBenefits packages/li/ul/div
