Manager, Human Resources

Position Overview As Human Resources Manager, you will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, workforce planning, conflict management, and employee engagement. This role is based in our New York Mills Operations manufacturing facility and supports both hourly and salaried employees in a designated business unit. Essential Functions Partner with business leaders and front‐line supervisors to sustain a productive, engaged work environment, tying HR contributions to business objectives through metrics and reporting. Build constructive relationships and provide day‐to‐day HR support to strengthen employee relations and engagement. Efficiently resolve complex employee relations matters, ethics complaints, and investigations. Offer performance‐management guidance, coaching, performance‐improvement plans, and corrective action. Reinforce consistent application of company policies and standard practices. Interpret and recommend HR policies in collaboration with internal clients. Drive staffing plans with leadership and the Talent Acquisition team: project hire needs, source candidates, conduct interviews, determine compensation, and deliver engaging onboarding. Collaborate in planning company‐sponsored and philanthropic events to enhance employee and community engagement. Lead HR initiatives including annual performance evaluation, workforce planning, compensation planning, talent management, and succession planning. Implement change strategies, provide recommendations to address organizational change, measure awareness, and promote buy‐in. Analyze competitive salary data and market rates to determine hourly population rate structure. Conduct cost analysis and forecast hourly pay adjustments or programs. Analyze data to provide actionable business insights. Partner on local HR communications and implementation of initiatives/services. Lead talent processes: calibrations, skill‐gap analyses, succession planning, and development planning. Define learning and development needs with leaders and build resources that employees can use to grow careers. Measure training and L&D impact and solicit feedback to improve. Required Qualifications Solutions‐oriented problem solver comfortable operating under demanding deliverables and identifying and executing appropriate solutions. Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and HR development. Comfortable multitasking in a fast‐paced environment and willingness to "roll up your sleeves." Demonstrated knowledge of multiple HR functions including coaching and development, talent management, process improvement, and organizational learning & development. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization. Ability to develop and deliver multi‐mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Education & Experience College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. PHR or SPHR certification required; SHRM‐CP or SHRM‐SCP preferred. 7+ years of experience in Human Resources. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with Workday, Kronos, and Power Platform highly preferred. Compensation The anticipated pay range is $103,200–$144,000 annually, subject to job‐related knowledge, skills, experience, and business needs. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
