Solar Activation Field Technician (Los Angeles)
Title:: Solar Activation Field Technician Duration:: 6 Month C2H Location :: San Francisco Bay Area |Los Angeles |Sacramento |San Bernardino CA Key Responsibilities System Activation & Commissioning Lead onsite activation and commissioning tasks for residential solar PV and battery backup systems. Verify system performance data using various software applications, and evaluate discrepencies using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Interface directly with homeowners and installers to configure software applications and optimize system settings. Support the equipment RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process when hardware issues are identified. Quality Control & Compliance Verify that all systems are installed according to engineering designs and as-built plansets. Complete comprehensive quality control (QC) checklists and documentation for every site visit. Capture and upload high-quality site photography and technical data into company software systems. Field Support & Inspection Readiness Perform minor onsite electrical or mechanical tasks to facilitate passed inspections or successful system starts. Ensure all safety protocols are followed and the job site is left in professional condition. Qualifications & Requirements Experience & Certifications Solar Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of solar installation experience. Prior experience in field service or repair is highly preferred. Licensing: Valid Electrical Trainee card is required; a Certified Electrician license is strongly preferred. Driving: Must possess an unrestricted driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Tools & Equipment Proficiency Demonstrated ability to operate motor vehicles safely. Proficiency with standard electrician hand tools and electrical test equipment (multimeters, etc.). Experience using basic power tools (drills, impact drivers, etc.). Physical Requirements Ability to work safely in a construction environment. Physical agility to perform lifting, bending, stepping, walking, and climbing throughout the day.
