Data Analyst

Data AnalystPRIMARY PURPOSEThe Data Analyst will support business and operational decision-making by transforming complex data into actionable insights. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, IT, and analytics leadership to deliver high-quality reporting, dashboards, and advanced analysis across the Casualty and Managed Care business unit. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python, Hex, and Power BI, and is comfortable working in a modern cloud analytics environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintain analytical datasets in Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability for reporting and analysis.Write complex SQL queries and develop Python scripts for data transformation, validation, automation, and advanced analysis.Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, delivering insights aligned to business and operational goals.Use Hex for exploratory analysis, reproducible analytics workflows, and collaboration across analytics and business teams.Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and clearly communicate findings.Ensure data integrity; develop and produce reports utilized in measuring data accuracy.May assist in the completion of appropriate client set-up and maintenance (parameter) forms.Supports internal and external users including reports, installation, screen, etc.Creates exception reports to identify fields of incorrect data.Generates custom reports for internal and external client.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms other duties as assigned.Supports the organization's quality program(s).QUALIFICATIONSStrong knowledge of query and report writing.Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.Analytical and interpretive skills.Strong organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent negotiation skills.Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.EDUCATION & LICENSEINGBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.EXPERIENCEFive (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.Two (2) years of query and report writing experience strongly preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhen applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.TAKING CARE OF YOU BYWe offer a diverse and comprehensive benefits package including: Three medical, and two dental plans to choose from.Tuition reimbursement eligible.401K plan that matches 50% on every dollar you put in up to the first 6% you save.4 weeks PTO your first full year.As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. The range of starting pay for this role is $60,000–$80,000.
