Project Manager - Mission Critical

We have a culture of growth and achievement powered by innovation, supported by purpose and joy.This position can be based in Salt Lake City, UT or in a traveling role.ResponsibilitiesOversees and provides input regarding all issues that require risk managementDevelops solutions to ensure issues never become problemsDevelops contingency plans to mitigate potential risks to projectsLeads their teams in such a way to maximize the contributions of each team memberReviews (and fully understands) prime contract with Project Director and provides red line changesProvide detailed contractual interpretations to team regarding prime contracts and subcontract agreementsExperience managing projects in various construction delivery methods to include Design Build, Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) and Hard bid formatsMake recommendations in project delivery method and contract award designation processSupervise and provide input on methods to manage Owner furnished material or workTakes initiative and is involved during the proposal phase including, but not limited to writing project management plans, creating proposal schedules, reviewing proposalsAbility to recognize project issues and timely acquire/coordinate company resources to support project as requiredSupervises project team's overall administration and technical direction to single or multiple projects simultaneouslyExhibits strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external in fulfillment of Big-D's stewardship/missionProactively monitor the progress of the CPM schedule through updated schedulesEnsure field managers/staff are adhering to Big-D safety programsHolds team members accountable during all aspects of the projectFull understanding of design process and able to provide quality control review of plans/specificationsEnsures project team is performing all tasks in a streamlined fashion and makes adjustments as necessaryDirects, guides, assists, plans and supports the design team as requiredClearly, concisely and timely documents all changes or deviations from the contract documents including notifying the Owner of potential issuesProficient in technical writing for proposalsAssist in developing prequalified subcontractor bidders list, review qualifications, and award contractsCoordinate construction activities of owners, public agencies, facility operations, tenants and utility companies in order to assure the desired project schedule, budget and quality are achievedResponsible for comprehensive design review for 30%, 60% and 90% design drawings. Input shall be provided in regards to cost, feasibility and completeness, as well as assist with management of the designUnderstanding of cost estimating software and ability to accurately provide input regarding project costsNegotiates subcontract modifications with subcontractors to manage riskEnsures prime and subcontractor contractual requirements are met prior to performing workResponsible to provide technical and procedural construction direction to internal and external shareholdersProvide prompt and accurate reporting of all required costs, changes, schedules and insurance dataResponsible for review/approval of change order requests and onsite change ordersRequirements:Bachelor's degree in construction management or other related field7+ years of related experience working on commercial construction projects; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working ground-up commercial construction experience or data center projects.Data center construction experience preferredBenefits100% coverage for medical and dental insurance for you and your familyEmployer Contribution into an HSA401k with MatchLong-Term & Short-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceOther Supplemental BenefitsPTO & HolidaysVehicle AllowanceAdditional Job InformationInterested applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
