Workers' Compensation Attorney – Northern California (Remote/Field)About the RoleWe are a growing plaintiff-side workers' compensation practice seeking an attorney to join our team and manage a full caseload across California. This is a remote-friendly position with field requirements — you'll be working from home but expected to appear at hearings and trials throughout Northern California. We welcome applications from experienced workers' compensation attorneys as well as motivated self-starters eager to build their practice in this area.ResponsibilitiesManage an assigned caseload from intake through settlement or trial across California, with full ownership of each matterLead and supervise a dedicated admin team on each file, including case managers and medical clerks — providing direction, oversight, and day-to-day guidanceAppear at WCAB hearings and trials at Board offices throughout Northern CaliforniaAttend weekly depositions (QME, AME, treating physicians, and others as needed)Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, defense counsel, and medical providersHandle all aspects of case development including pleadings, discovery, lien resolution, and negotiationsMeet performance benchmarks tied to case progression and collected feesQualificationsActive California State Bar membership in good standingWorkers' compensation experience preferred; exceptional candidates without WC experience encouraged to applyComfortable supervising and mentoring non-attorney staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentLocated in Northern California with reliable transportation and ability to travel regionally for hearings and trialsAbility to independently manage a high-volume, statewide caseloadStrong communication and client management skillsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $100,000 – $140,000, commensurate with experiencePerformance bonus based on collected feesHealth insuranceMonthly stipend covering phone, internet, and technology expensesRemote/flexible work environmentTo ApplySend your resume and a brief cover letter describing your background and interest in workers' compensation to alex@comleylaw.com.
