Middle School Site Coordinator

DescriptionA Program Quality Monitor will assist in overseeing multiple schools or moving from site to site to provide support to Site Coordinators, when absent or on leave. While Program Quality Monitor is on site, they will manage all major functions of program quality and student experience including but not limited to program design and planning, program marketing, student recruitment, attendance tracking and forecasting, staff selection, professional development, program finances, stakeholder relationships, and compliance requirements.Essential FunctionsWork at various program sites to provide leadership and support in all program functions; report to work site location is set at the discretion of the SupervisorManage administrative responsibilities including but not limited to acquiring supplies used for the after-school program, review, and complete program compliance paperwork, monitor enrollment and student rosters, process timesheets, enter attendance in data systems, update budget trackers, and other assigned administrative dutiesManage program quality metrics, including but not limited to conducting staff performance evaluations, implement student recruitment and student retention strategies, survey students for programming interests, meet student program attendance goals, monitor age appropriate curriculum development and facilitation, and stakeholder relationship managementEnsure program is aligned with school day objectives and follows California Expanded Learning Quality StandardsLead and coordinate creative program marketing and recruitment efforts via advertisement campaigns that are visible on campus and appropriately showcase program offeringsBe the primary point of contact for program logistics pertaining to their school site and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with parents, teachers, administration, students and staffCreate communication and marketing materials -- Monthly calendars, newsletters, parent boards, info corners, program memos, principal updatesManage email account and online calendar for after school program siteSupervise, train, and coach staff members on best practices for activity facilitation and student engagementReview and provide feedback on lesson plans created by staff; supervise all activities that occur during after school program; facilitate activities as neededDemonstrate leadership and a commitment to educating and empowering youth to reach their fullest potentialCoordinate a safe, engaging, and collaborative program for the number of students the program is required to service; meet year end attendance goals according to program requirementsHave extensive knowledge of age appropriate classroom and behavior management skills and age appropriate activity and curriculum planningProvides training and development to employees, during introductory employment period and ongoing at routine staff development meetings, Leaders in Training Program, and during site reviewsRequired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities5 years of after school programming operations in a school setting or youth recreational facility and administration skills, preferred3 years in a supervisory role, leading a team of staff, preferredPrevious experience working in and adapting to a rapidly changing environmentTech savvy and proficient in with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and data entry systemsPrevious collaborating with multiple stakeholders – parents, students, staff, administratorsStrong, clear written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated professional attitude, approach, and commitment to integrityProven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflictsCommitment to working toward the common goal of helping to provide experiential education to underserved young people at our various programs.QualificationsQualifications:Availability to work set school programming hours including before school hours, after school hours, weekends, and some overnightsAbility to get around San Diego County SchoolsExperience in working with ethnic and culturally diverse communitiesDesire to work outdoors with studentsEnergetic, motivated, outgoing personalities strongly desired48+ College Units completed or Pass on Academic Proficiency ExamTB Test Clearance & Live Scan Clearance (Background check)Bilingual preferredCurrent CPR Certification – adult, child and infantCOVID – 19 Vaccination Record Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
