Network Administrator

Chemical Manufacturing client looking to hire a Network Admin to join their team.Onsite M- F Install and configure Cisco switches and related network equipment.Implement and manage VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and switch stacking.Configure switch ports for various devices, ensuring correct settings for speed, duplex, and other port characteristics.Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or other network management systems.Perform routine network maintenance, including software upgrades, patches, and backups.Troubleshoot network issues related to switches, such as connectivity problems, performance degradation, or security breaches.Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.Generate reports on network performance, issues, and activities for management review.Analyze network traffic patterns to optimize performance and ensure efficient use of network resources.Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff for network-related issues.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to Cisco switches.Work with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other infrastructure.Ensure network compliance with organizational policies.Open communications with customers for possible outages due to network activities.
