Hiring Material Handler!

Material HandlerSpitzer, a recognized industry leader in designing and fabricating high-specification equipment, is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. What Does a Week in the Life of the Material Handler Look Like? Basic understanding of shop/yard layout and how to stage and locate materials. Safely loading, unloading and transfer/movement of material. Perform assigned activities according to shop requirements, Company procedures and as directed by Supervisor. Ensure the material is properly staged and stored in designated locations. Makes sure that items are properly tagged and labeled. Knowledge of how to use and safely operate material handling equipment, i.e. pallet jack and crane (training required). May operate a forklift to transport stored material into production areas. Complies with all HSE regulations and requirements. Follow all health safety procedure and regulations as outlined by the Company. Other assigned duties Skills (to Pay the Bills) 2 to 3+ years of experience in similar or related position. Good communication skills. Knowledge of Company Procedures and Policies. Exposure to possible shop hazards including but not limited to welding fumes, heat, flash burns, skin burns, high noise level and eye injuries from welding arc and grinders. Spends a large percentage of the time in yard, warehouse, and shop. Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk and climb during the course for the shift. Work Schedule Spitzer currently runs two shifts, Monday through Friday with overtime on weekend work as needed. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed.
