Properly block or chock spools in furnaceMake sure all PWHT calibrations are within due dateApply knowledge of machining methodsInstalling, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and work-pieces on machinesUsing hand tools and precision measuring instruments as neededObserves operation and verifies conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instrumentsReads blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications (dimensions and tolerances) and tooling instructions (fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools)Processes production jobs as requiredCompletes production paperwork and inspection procedures as directedReports any discrepancies to managementMaintains tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly mannerComplies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulationsPerform all scheduled daily maintenance as requiredTrain other personnel as requiredPerforms other related duties as assignedPosition QualificationsCompetency Statement(s) Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
