Job Details Shift B: Sunday – Wednesday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am Shift D: Thursday – Sunday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am Rotating schedules every 8 weeks Pay range: $22.90 – $32.75 /hr (plus a $2.00 shift premium) Summary This position will perform troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. It is a technical career position requiring proficiency in electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems and manufacturing processes. The role requires effective teamwork and interaction with all levels of management and operations. Requirements Education and Experience: Minimum 1 year of prior experience or training. Preferred credentials include an Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or a closely related field, or a combination of education and experience such as skilled trade programs, military training, or other applicable training. Computer Skills: Competent in Windows‐based software (Outlook, Excel, Word) with strong skills in document organization, templates, and simple queries. Must become proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, high‐level critical thinking and problem‐solving skills. Certification: Certifications in any technical field or technique are a plus. Special Skills Strong interpersonal skills; experience with AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems. Knowledge of electrical safety, lock‐out/tag‐out processes, and procedures. Understanding of electronic devices such as industrial semiconductors, solid‐state drives, and industrial control systems. Experience operating PLC systems, control and data‐collection instrumentation, and transducers. Working knowledge of maintenance tools and components for mechanical systems (bearings, gears, clutches, belts, seals). Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems. Preferred Skills Basic microcomputer skills to understand microprocessor operation and interfacing. Experience with PLC operation, including basic configuration, hardware, relay‐equivalent instructions, timers, counters, data manipulation, data communications, advanced programming commands, and troubleshooting. Training in electronic motor drive technologies (servo‐motors, encoders, tachometers, electronic and mechanical brakes, clutches, closed‐loop systems, DC servo, AC variable frequency, AC servo, stepper systems). Travel Minimum 1–5 trips per year outside of the assigned location. Physical and Safety Requirements The employee is frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, outdoor weather, electrical shock risk, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and a usually loud noise level. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Additional Employment Terms Must have at least 1 year of industrial maintenance work experience. Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire rule: no more than 3 previous stints at Tyson Foods. Relocation assistance: not eligible. Work shift: all shifts (United States of America). Background checks may be required.
