Planning Administrator (6 month FTC)

Role Description Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract.Job Purpose To maximise customer service levels whilst maintaining target stock levels, through efficient production planningThere is a great opportunity to support the Bradford planning team for 6 months.This role will support both planning and scheduling tasks – focussing on the creation of the daily and weekly plans, analysis, report generation and administrative support.The role will be varied and challenging allowing the individual to use their SAP and Excel skills.Principal Accountabilities Be supportive, act with integrity, show enthusiasm and embrace openness Support the creation of production plans to meet forecast and actual sales demand for Bradford and Caprisun production lines. Create reports to support decision making Analyse the production plan and stock levels to ensure availability of raw materials maintaining optimum stock levels. Support the call off ingredients from Europe and UK as required by the production Plan and liaise with hauliers to ensure timely delivery, ensuring that cold storage isarranged for any excess materials as needed. Support project work, with analysis and data feeds. Support creation of standard working procedures for tasks and processes within the team. Schedule bulk material orders to support production plans, liaising with suppliers balancing stock and lead times. Provide absence/training cover for all roles in the planning team. Generate and issue forecast information to key suppliers. Support completion of Purchase orders for materials and services.To maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.These are the key daily tasks, not a comprehensive list of all tasks undertaken by the jobholder. Flexibility is required by the business & this will be agreed with the individual’s line manager.Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks. Role Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Experience SAP knowledge and experience is ideal, however training will be given as needed. Microsoft office applications knowledge – especially Excel Advanced knowledge of planning and supply chain in an FMCG environment Ability to communicate with staff and management at all levels. Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
