The ideal candidate will have experience with medical billing, insurance verification, claims processing, and patient account management. This role supports the financial operations of the practice by ensuring timely and accurate billing for radiology and imaging services.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance companies and payersVerify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to servicesProcess payments, adjustments, and patient billing statementsFollow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepanciesMaintain accurate patient billing records in the electronic medical record (EMR) and billing systemsCommunicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement issuesAssist patients with billing questions, payment plans, and account inquiriesEnsure compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer guidelinesWork closely with front office staff, technologists, and providers to ensure accurate coding and documentationSupport month-end reporting and other administrative billing tasks as neededDecrease the average number of days accounts are in accounts receivable (AR)QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferredMinimum (1–2) years of medical billing experience, preferably in radiologyKnowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codingFamiliarity with insurance verification, claim submission, and EOB interpretationExperience with EMR and medical billing softwareStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environmentBenefitsCompetitive payHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401KHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume outlining your experience in medical billing and healthcare administration.
