If you want a career where you’re valued, encouraged, and empowered to succeed—this is where it begins.Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mobile Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and light-to-moderate repairs on commercial trucks and trailers at customer locations. This position plays a key role in maximizing fleet uptime by bringing maintenance services directly to the customer’s site, reducing downtime, lowering transportation costs, and helping drivers stay on the road.Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance services on customer equipment at their location, including oil changes, lubrication, cooling system service, and general inspections. Complete scheduled PM services and maintenance checks on-site in accordance with company and manufacturer standards. Inspect and service air and power supply systems, trailer connections, lights, signals, belts, filters, wiper blades, bulbs, tires, and related components. Use laptop-based diagnostic equipment and other testing tools to identify maintenance and repair needs. Perform minor mechanical repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting in the field. Conduct trailer connection testing, light and signal inspections, tire pressure checks, and alignment-related evaluations. Support refrigeration unit service and maintenance when applicable. Operate welding equipment safely as needed for approved repairs. Maintain accurate service documentation, inspection records, and repair orders. Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized mobile service unit, including parts inventory, tools, and supplies. Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures while working at customer locations and in the field.Mobile Service Unit CapabilitiesThe Mobile Maintenance Technician operates a fully equipped service vehicle designed to support efficient on-site maintenance and repair work. Equipment and resources may include: Oil, lube, and cooling supplies Air and power supply systems On-hand parts inventory including belts, filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and similar maintenance items Exterior lights for nighttime maintenance work Trailer connection testing for lights and signals Tire pressure and laser alignment tools Welding equipment Refrigeration tools and parts Fully equipped technician toolbox Laptop computer for diagnostics Environmentally sensitive systems, including quick connects to help prevent spillageQualifications Experience performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on commercial trucks and trailers preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision. Valid driver’s license required with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). CDL preferred. Basic computer skills and ability to use diagnostic software and service documentation systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to safely operate service tools, testing equipment, and mobile maintenance vehicle systems. Welding, refrigeration, or trailer maintenance experience is a plus.Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull parts, tools, and equipment as required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at customer job sites. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends when needed to support customer schedules.Interested candidates should submit their resume and salary expectations.
