About the job: Sports Officials provide officiating services to specific sports competitions. BPRD Sports Officials are responsible for providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. A day in the life: Enforce/implement BPRD sports policies and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness and players safety. Handle emergency situations as needed. Complete required reports/paperwork. Be aware of facility safety hazards and deal with them as quickly and efficiently as possible. If necessary, report safety hazards to supervisor. Communicate on a regular basis with coaches, participants, parent/guardians and district staff. Attend officials training clinics. Annually complete concussion training. Complete mandatory reporting training. Perform job related duties as assigned. Schedule information: Flag Football games are on Sundays, Sept 15th through Oct 27th. Games Last 1 1/12hrs and run 9am to 7pm Possible work locations include Skyline Park and Fields at Pacific Crest. Compensation Paid per game, see table below Youth Double $18/game non-licensed Youth Solo $27/game non-licensed Whistles and officials' shirts are provided. **Applicants must be 14 yrs of age and older and some previous experience preferred.
