This role will have significant latitude in ensuring that on-premise applications are successfully migrated to the cloud while remaining healthy by seeking solutions that reduce maintenance complexity, increasing security, reliability, and capability.Job DutiesDesign and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on AWS.Collaborate with the Cloud Foundation team to implement, integrate and customize AWS solutions.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.Ensure IaC templates are modular, reusable, and adhere to best practices.Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and deployment processes.Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.Implement and enforce cloud governance policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with the security team to design and implement robust security measures, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the cloud infrastructure.Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues promptly.Work closely with product teams to support their cloud infrastructure needs and ensure a seamless transition to AWS.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers and other team members.Automate the deployment and management of EKS clusters and workloads.Monitor and maintain EKS cluster health and performance.Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in cloud computing.What You'll Bring to NumeratorRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.Strong expertise in cloud architecture and design, particularly with AWS services.Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.Extensive experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools.In-depth understanding of cloud governance, security, and compliance best practices.Strong experience with Amazon EKS and container orchestration.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills.AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) are highly desirable.
