Organic Grocery Associate (New Store Opening)

Our focus is local where possible, environment forward brands, and 'better for you' items to serve our Flow neighbors and community. We support emerging businesses in the food and beverage space who deserve an opportunity to shine, without the larger costs traditionally being placed on them to be in grocery stores. We observe a purchasing philosophy that ensures we have no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, hormones or hormone disrupters, or GMO ingredients.As a Grocery Specialist, you will greet customers, serve as a subject matter expert in all products to make recommendations, process and pack grocery orders and maintain a beautiful and clean space within the store. We are looking for a customer focused Grocery Specialist with a passion for food and environmental initiatives. A curiosity about the people we are serving will bring a strong sense of hospitality to our space. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for collaboration and creating community through food.This is a part-time position that requires schedule flexibility with rotating shifts that fall between the hours of 7:00 am through 9:00 pm.ResponsibilitiesActively engage and connect with customers, answering product inquiries and tailoring product recommendations to meet their needsProcess all orders in the POS system with speed and accuracyMonitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring stock is always replenishedStock and face all areas of the store, including the produce display, the merchandisers and retail shelvingPack orders for pickup, delivery and in-store shopping with care to maintain product quality during transportClean, sanitize and organize the counters and store to maintain a safe and beautiful environment for customersStay informed about trends and events in the wellness space, including Flow Events and programsEmbody and champion Flow's brand values in all interactions with customers, vendors and colleaguesAbility to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistanceIdeal BackgroundExperience working in food & beverage, hospitality, or retail with a focus on customer service and creating memorable guest experiencesInvolvement with new store openings, systems implementation and developing culture is a plusExcellent communication skills with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressureAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities in a high-speed environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailA growth mindset with the ability to gain a deep knowledge of all products in the storeUnderstanding, knowledge, and ability to comply with safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
