Job SummaryCommunicate with and assist customers with their vehicle needs and perform duties assigned to ensure the service on vehicles are completed efficiently and professionally.Essential FunctionsGreet customers in a timely, friendly and professional mannerObtain current customer and vehicle data, make changes in dealership system as neededInterview customers to determine the nature of customers concerns and needsPerform vehicle walk-around with customer looking for additional sales opportunitiesThoroughly complete repair ordersCommunicate with customers by phone to schedule appointments and relay vehicle status updatesInspect repaired vehicles prior to deliveryMaintain Customer Satisfaction Index standardsMaintain individual performance standardsKeep work area clean and organizedPre-Hire RequirementsValid TX DL and acceptable driving record, acceptable background review and negative drug screenEducation and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or the equivalentBasic math, reading and writing skillsMust be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written or oral diagrammatic formMust be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situationsStrong mental aptitudeStrong verbal communication skillsStrong personal initiativeAbility to operate a standard transmission vehicleAbility to use a computer and 10 key calculatorGeneral Knowledge of vehicle mechanical operationsAbility to operate hand and power tools safelyPhysical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping/squatting, grasping/gripping, writing/typing, driving/operating equipment and vision (beyond arms length), sitting, hearing, speakingOccasionally climb stairs/ladders, lying down, push/pull, reach above shoulders, and lift/carry 1-75lbs.Working ConditionsThe employee will work indoors and outdoors in an autoshop environment.Will be frequently rotating equipment, vehicles, elevators, lifts, tow-lines, etc.Will be exposed to fumes, chemicals, solvents, caustics, etc.Will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
