Team Lead Structured Cabling

We're currently supporting a customer that is looking to bring on a Lead Tech to their team to eventually be a fulltime employee of their company. They need someone that has previous led teams in the past on structured cabling projects and can interface with customers onsite as well. This position will require extensive travel after converting to an employee so it does require someone that can travel when the time comes. *Top Skills* Advanced structured cabling experience (Cat5e/6/6a) Fiber splicing and termination (LC/SC, mechanical or fusion) Ability to terminate and dress large-scale racks (hundreds of cables) Ability to lead, plan and coordinate onsite work; run 3-4 techs Experience installing basket tray across buildings Comfortable running full-scope projects independently *Description* - Lead complex structured cabling projects (Network, Security, A/V, etc.) while working alongside project managers to maintain project timeline. - Oversee Tech 1 and Tech 2 personnel; assign tasks and ensure quality standards - Perform and certify terminations: RJ45, Keystone, F-Connectors, fiber (mechanical & fusion) - Read and interpret prints and documentation; manage updates and field conditions - Conduct advanced testing and certification using OTDR, cable certifier, network analyzer, etc. - Install and dress server racks, building cabling pathways (conduit, basket/ladder trays, etc.). - Perform quality assurance inspections and maintain documentation - Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers - Use Microsoft Office Suite to document deliverables and/or updates and Visio to document rack layouts - Work in various site conditions including confined spaces and heights *Skills* structured cabling, fiber splicing, fiber installation, rack and stack, osha 30, panduit, leviton, corning, bicsi certified, aerial lift, cisco certified, aruba *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Rates depend on candidate skills and experience. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, IL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $40.00/hr.
