Job DescriptionBIM Factory CoordinatorRecruiter: Symbiotic ServicesSymbiotic Services is seeking a BIM Factory Coordinator on behalf of an innovative organization focused on addressing the affordable housing crisis through advanced construction methods and highly coordinated BIM workflows. This role supports a production-focused environment where constructability and precision modeling are essential to successful factory manufacturing.The BIM Factory Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate BIM models and shop drawings that directly support factory production. This role ensures seamless coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP systems-bridging the gap between design intent and manufacturable reality.Working closely with factory personnel, engineers, and BIM leadership, this position resolves conflicts, supports fast-track problem solving, and ensures models are production-ready. The role requires strong technical modeling skills, clear communication, and a practical understanding of construction and modular workflows.Work Schedule & ShiftThis position operates on a dedicated 3-day factory production schedule aligned with active manufacturing.Days: Friday, Saturday, SundayHours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)Total: 36 hours per weekThis is an on-site role during active factory production. The BIM Factory Coordinator must be present and engaged to provide real-time coordination and issue resolution when production is underway.Candidates should be comfortable with a weekend-focused schedule and compressed workweek. Occasional flexibility outside scheduled hours may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesBIM Modeling & CoordinationDevelop and maintain BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and BluebeamCoordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systemsInterpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction documentsIdentify and resolve clashes prior to factory productionFactory Support & Problem SolvingProvide real-time support during factory productionAdapt models to accommodate fast-track production needsTranslate factory feedback into model updatesQuality Control & DocumentationReview models and shop drawings for accuracy and constructabilityMaintain BIM standards, documentation, and coordination workflowsCommunication & TrainingCoordinate with both field and office teamsAssist with training on BIM standards and workflowsProvide and receive constructive feedback within the teamMinimum Qualifications2+ years of Revit experience2+ years of 3D modeling experienceProficiency with AutoCAD and BluebeamAbility to coordinate MEP and structural systemsStrong understanding of construction documentsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to solve problems in a fast-paced production environmentPreferred QualificationsBackground in construction or modular manufacturingExperience supporting factory or prefabrication workflowsExperience developing BIM documentation or training materialsCompensation$65,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package and is structured as a full-time compressed workweek role.Benefits & Work EnvironmentEmployees are supported in a collaborative environment that prioritizes career growth, professional development, and meaningful project work.
