DescriptionAssistant Property Manager with National Development:The OpportunityNational Development is looking for an Assistant Property Manager for E3 Apartments in Allston, MA. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for people, apartment living, and creating a sense of community among residents and team members.As an Assistant Property Manager, Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Administrative tasks such as processing invoices, depositing rent checks, processing move-in and move-out accounting, and managing delinquency recoveryCorresponding with prospective residents – establishing a good rapport, setting up appointments, touring the community, and guiding them through the leasing and move-in process, all while showcasing exemplary customer service and sales skillsPreparing weekly and monthly leasing reportsInitiating and executing the lease renewal process from offer to acceptance and preparing weekly renewal status update reportsParticipating in the planning and execution of resident eventsConducting daily, weekly, quarterly property inspections to ensure that the property is well maintainedConducting routine inspections of vacant units and models to ensure that they are presentable and ready for move inDeveloping and maintaining knowledge of the property, community and competitorsStaying on the cutting edge of market conditions, trends and product knowledge in the community and competitive communitiesAssisting with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the property, including maintaining a strong social media presenceCultivating and maintaining strong relationships with residents, offering a first-class resident experience and helping to maintain a strong sense of communityEnsuring resident satisfaction through follow-up calls and emails as well as maintaining property reputation through timely response to online reviewsPlaying a role in achieving community financial goals and assisting in the development, preparation and administration of the community’s capital and operating budgetsDemonstrating the ability to resolve resident complaints when possible as well as escalating to the Property Manager when necessaryAssuming the Property Manager’s responsibilities when they are not presentWorking weekends as neededYou Create Value ByBeing dedicated to our residents – working to exceed their expectations, resolving any community-related issues, and striving to create an extraordinary experienceBeing dedicated to our property – striving to exceed leasing goals, reducing turnover, maintaining a positive reputation (both online and anecdotally), and providing superior customer serviceBeing dedicated to our team - you roll up your sleeves and assist team members—no job is “below your pay grade”Being dedicated to National Development – proactively managing issues, maintaining a positive attitude and proudly represent ND’s professionalism and our culture of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR)What You Bring To Us3+ years experience in the property management, hospitality or retail industriesExperience with industry software (YARDI)Administrative and accounting skillsExperience with a Revenue Management software platform (YieldStar preferred)Willingness to jump in, learning new tasks and systemsOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalWhat We Bring YouAt National Development, we believe our greatest asset is our people.
