Job DescriptionThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a key role in supporting client recovery by delivering compassionate nursing care, monitoring medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. Responsibilities/ Job Duties: Monitor client health and document daily progress using SOAP notes in accordance with state and facility standards.Observe and document client self-administration of prescribed medications.Track and report changes in client conditions, including adverse medication reactions.Communicate with IMS Physician and external medical providers for referrals and treatment coordination.Collaborate with physicians and pharmacies to address and resolve medication-related concerns.Enter physician orders and medication protocols into the EMR (KIPU preferred).Schedule and coordinate client appointments with external providers (e.g., psychiatrist, dietician, EMDR therapist) and ensure timely attendance.Be available for occasional on-call support outside regular hours, as needed.Support non-clinical staff by training and supervising clients in detox and medication protocols.Record and monitor vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, height, and weight).Maintain inventory and organization of nursing and OTC medical supplies.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and CARF accreditation standards.Follow facility policies on ethics, confidentiality, boundaries, medication management, and infection control.Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements: Valid and active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification in the state of California.Current CPR/First Aid Certification.At least 2 years of experience in a mental health or substance use treatment setting.Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and/or detox protocols.Experience with KIPU EMR (preferred).Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.Schedule/ Shift: Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm / 20 hours a week
