Their teams work on impactful projects that support innovation and contribute to technology initiatives with worldwide reach.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Accessibility Content Writer to create and maintain inclusive content designed for people with disabilities and diverse accessibility needs. This role focuses on ensuring customer-facing materials meet accessibility standards and usability requirements while supporting users with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments. The position combines content strategy, accessibility expertise, collaboration, and advocacy to ensure accessible experiences across documentation and learning assets. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing capabilities along with practical knowledge of accessibility principles and tools.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, curate, and update customer-facing assets for Expert Services while ensuring alignment with workplace accessibility standards and industry guidelines.Evaluate existing customer-facing materials for accessibility compliance.Provide actionable recommendations and revisions for accessibility improvements.Work closely with Expert Services Delivery Engineers, Accessibility Program Managers, Content Designers, and Learning & Development Program Managers to gather requirements.Provide feedback as the accessibility subject matter expert.Maintain and organize accessible content within a centralized repository.Create templates and establish best practices for accessible content development.Educate team members on accessibility principles and standards.Promote inclusive communication practices across all Expert Services materials.Must have skills7+ years of overall professional experience.4+ years of experience in Technical and Content Writing2+ years of experience in Documentation Development.Proven experience in content writing, editing, or related fields with a focus on accessibility and inclusive design.Strong knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG.Proficiency using assistive technologies such as screen readers and accessible content tools.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills focused on clarity and accessibility.Strong organizational and project management abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Self-starter mindset with a passion for inclusivity and accessibility.Nice to have skillsFamiliarity with creating and editing Expert Services Bill of Materials.1+ years of experience using GitHub tools such as Issues, Discussions, Projects, and Repositories.Previous experience working remotely with globally distributed teams.At Andela, we know our strengths lie in our diverse community whose talents, perspectives, backgrounds and orientations we take pride in.
