Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) - DaysButner, NC | Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) FacilityPosition: Psychiatric Registered NurseLocation: Butner, North CarolinaShift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Days)Schedule: 36/48 EOW rotatingSetting: Residential - Adolescents (Ages 13-17)About the Facility & PopulationThis position is located at a specialized Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) facility serving adolescents with dual diagnoses. The residential unit supports youths ages 13 through 17 who:Have an intellectual/developmental disability and a co-occurring mental illnessDemonstrate significant behavioral challengesRequire ICF/IID level of careHave complex behavioral, physical, and/or medical needsHave exhausted community-based resource options prior to placementThis role is ideal for nurses who are experienced, patient-focused, and comfortable working with high-acuity behavioral health populations in a structured residential environment.Orientation Requirements (Mandatory)Orientation lasts 2-4 weeksSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMNo RTO (Request Time Off) or call-outs permitted during orientationAny absences during orientation will result in cancellationThe Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.
