Mold Technician - Day Shift (6a-6pm)

In this role, you will be responsible for mold changes, material handling, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring efficient production line performance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Material ManagementEnsure all materials are properly labeled and legibleVerify materials are stored and covered correctlyReplace damaged or torn covers on material containersColor ChangeoversInspect Maguire blending equipment for proper operationIdentify and report material leaks for repairEnsure proper line clearance following material/color changesMold ChangeoversConfirm molds have completed preventative maintenance prior to installationInspect molds and verify correct inserts are in placeClean machine platens before installationVerify all related components (clamps, rods, air/hydraulic lines) are in good conditionProduction SupportRespond to machine alarms and troubleshoot production issuesAssist with startup and shutdown of production linesProvide support to packaging operations as neededGeneral Maintenance & SupportAssist with automation repairs and changeoversPerform IML (In-Mold Labeling) changeovers and system updatesComplete required documentation accurately and on timeMaintain a clean, safe work environmentPerform minor hydraulic repairs and address oil leaksSupport basic equipment handling and maintenance tasksDevelop a foundational understanding of quality processesFood Safety & ComplianceFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and SQF/Food Safety standardsAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsQualifications & SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsSolid understanding of manufacturing processesAbility to work independently and make quick, sound decisionsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPositive attitude with a team-oriented mindsetAbove-average math and reasoning abilitiesAbility to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environmentReliable attendance and strong work ethicRequired Training (provided)Forklift CertificationLockout/TagoutArc Flash SafetyFirst Aid/CPRFire Extinguisher UseHazard CommunicationEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience as a Mold Technician or in a manufacturing environment is a plusFamiliarity with tools and equipment used in mold maintenancePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 80 poundsFrequent standing, walking, and climbing on production equipmentAbility to work at heights using liftsFrequent use of hand tools and manual forceManual dexterity to inspect, install, and repair equipmentIf you have the above experience and are looking for a role where you can make a real difference, apply today to find out more!
