This hands-on role combines 3D printing, mechanical design, equipment support, and manufacturing process optimization in a fast-paced production setting.Type: ContractLocation: Newton, NCCandidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NCPay Rate: Based on experienceWork Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, occasional OT and weekendEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferredKey Responsibilities:Operate and monitor cleanroom optical ribbon and cable manufacturing processesCreate, print, and test 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorksSupport equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and process optimizationPerform QA checks and monitor production quality metricsCollaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment improvements and process enhancementsSupport Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action activitiesRequired Qualifications:Strong Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling and SolidWorks experienceHands-on experience with 3D printing, mechanical component design, and testingKnowledge of SPC, MES, and process data analysisAbility to read technical documentation and manufacturing specificationsUnderstanding of cleanroom operations and contamination controlStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with optical fiber handling, ribbonization, or precision manufacturing equipmentLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certificationExperience supporting production scale-up in a cleanroom environmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and work on the manufacturing floor for extended periodsManual dexterity for precision equipment adjustments and fiber handlingAbility to lift up to 25 lbsAbility to wear cleanroom garments for the full shiftAdditional Information:No third party resumes will be acceptedDrug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conductedAll interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors)CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employerCTG is an E-Verify Company
