Position Title Embedded Software and Controls Engineer Overview3DISC specializes in state-of-the-art 3D imaging solutions primarily for dental clinics. Its flagship intraoral scanner is based on innovative concepts that provide high scanning speed, accuracy, and compactness. The 3DISC research and development team is a global team working in France, USA, and South Korea. Over the past three years 3DISC is undergoing a major transformation from start up to a strong player in the Denal industry and is striving to be the leader in the field through innovative solutions. 3DISC provides a dynamic work environment with more than 60 dedicated employees engaged in delivering targeted solutions for the dental market. We are currently expanding our team to take on new challenges and drive our roadmap and are looking for experienced, talented, and motivated engineers to design and deliver software systems. The candidate will work as part of the hardware, electronics, and software development team developing intraoral scanners. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-function team to pursue the development of real time imaging solutions.Development of drivers for USB devices, support for the validation and signing of the drivers. Development and improvement of firmware Embedded software design and codingCreate software documentation, including product and software requirements, software designs, test plans and test reportsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or engineeringMinimum 3 years of commercial software development Experience with C /C++ Experience with the development of firmware Experience with development of hardware Drivers and signing for windows environment Experience or knowledge of image processing application Experience with different communication protocols (I2C, SPI)Experience with embedded processor ARM with different sensors (camera, IMU)Experience with image processing for FPGA and for Imaging applications Desired skills: Proficiency in C# languageExperience with database interfacing for process monitoring & control (SQL)Experience with Embedded Cameras and calibration Experience with Stereo Camera system.Experience with Medical Device developmentFamiliarity with design transfer to productionExperience with technical product development processes
