Parts CounterpersonAcura of Los Angeles Westside is looking for qualified, motivated and exceptional individuals to become part of our team. As a Parts Counter person, you're responsible for assisting guests primarily through the retail counter and even on the phone or online. You'll provide an exceptional guest experience by pulling and filling orders, organizing inventory, keeping current on new products and product updates and communicating with our internal team, external vendors and guests in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. This role is a great entry point to Acura of Los Angeles Westside for a car enthusiast who thrives on finding solutions to problems and has some prior experience in the automotive industry and knowledge of parts sales.What You'll Do:Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring the customer is exposed to the full product lineNotify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attentionLocate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency order if necessaryNotify Service Advisor when special order parts are receivedFollow-up on back-ordered partsOn a weekly basis, verify will-call and back-order files as well as vendor returns, and stock items not picked upAssist outside sales representatives with their ordersEnsure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orderMaintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special order partsAssist Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking programWhat You'll Need:Previous parts sales experience and the desire to continuously learn moreFull-time availability. You'll also need to be at least 18 years oldCurrent, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)Bilingual Spanish a plusExcellent follow up skills, frequently communicating inventory and availability of partsA professional appearance and work ethicExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAll potential employees must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
