We offer a career trajectory few others can match, with opportunities to take on roles and projects aligned with your skills and interests.In addition, we offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including:Competitive salary401K retirement planPaid time off and paid holidaysTuition reimbursementMedical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance optionsPaid overtimeFlexible work scheduleEmployees working in Ripon have a short commute from Northfield, Owatonna, and Waseca, and will enjoy professional growth and community engagement through our regional presence in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.ESTIMATED PAY RANGEEngineer I: $72,000 - $84,000Engineer II: $80,000 - $92,000Engineer III: $90,000 - $102,000Senior Engineer: $97,000 - $112,000Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectationsJOB SUMMARYAs a Process Engineer in Ripon, WI, you will:Improve machining and assembly processes to enhance safety, quality, throughput, and cost performanceIdentify production bottlenecks and implement solutions, including workflow changes, workstation redesign, and process transfersDesign ergonomic workstations and implement equipment upgrades (lift assists, light automation, assembly tooling, process relocations)Partner daily with Operations, Supervisors, and hourly Team Leads to support production needs and resolve process issuesEvaluate equipment proposals, coordinate installations, and ensure new machinery meets operational requirementsConduct capability studies, time studies, and continuous improvement activities to optimize manufacturing processesDevelop and maintain visual work instructions, process documentation, and standardized operating proceduresTroubleshoot production issues, support maintenance, and ensure equipment operates in like‑new conditionLead cost‑reduction initiatives focused on scrap, rework, cycle time, tooling, and fixture improvementsParticipate in Kaizen events and drive Lean Manufacturing principles across machining and assembly areasCollaborate with suppliers and Applied partners across the Fox Valley, Wisconsin, to strengthen manufacturing performanceSupport projects that impact communities in Ripon, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, Appleton, Berlin, Green Lake, Princeton, Waupun, Rosendale, North Fond du Lac, Winneconne, Omro, Markesan, and BrandonContribute to a dynamic environment that values ownership, innovation, and hands‑on problem solvingQUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial EngineeringMinimum 4 years of experience in a Process Engineer roleStrong background in machining processes, assembly operations, and hands‑on production supportProven ability to work effectively with operators, assemblers, supervisors, and cross‑functional teamsExperience with ergonomic workstation design and production‑flow optimizationSkilled in identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical, people‑focused solutionsDirect assembly or machine‑shop press assembly experience highly preferredLean Manufacturing experience required; Kaizen participation strongly valuedProficiency with AutoCAD, CREO, Fusion 360, and 3D printing technologiesStrong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of positive operator engagementMust have experience in manual or semi‑manual production environments (not fully automated facilities)SKILLS AND VALUESCapable of working independently and as a team memberStrong work ethic and unwavering integrityExcellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindsetCuriosity, problem solving, and analytical thinkingEffective verbal and written communicationDesire to work on a variety of projectsADDITIONAL INFORMATIONPlease consider joining Applied's team of talented employees in Ripon, WI, and the greater Fox Valley.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
