Senior Electrical DesignerLocation: Portland, ORJob Type: Contract-to-HireOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join a dynamic and growing team in Portland, OR. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that support the core operations of industry-leading clients, including semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and other advanced manufacturing facilities.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while collaborating with a talented, multidisciplinary team delivering world-class design solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform computer-aided drafting and design for:Electrical power distribution systemsLighting systemsFire alarm systemsCommunication systemsDevelop layouts, sketches, 2D/3D models, and electronic drawing packages using AutoCAD and Revit MEPCoordinate with engineers and design leads to deliver complex design packagesLead project design efforts and ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget requirementsDevelop staffing plans aligned with project schedules and deliverablesMentor and guide junior designers and draftersCollaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutionsMaintain familiarity with client standards, expectations, and project requirementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 8 years of Revit/BIM design experienceDemonstrated experience leading design efforts or project teamsExperience with electrical power distribution design projects (mission-critical facilities experience is a plus)Strong understanding of electrical systems and components such as:SwitchgearTransformersPanelboardsGeneratorsUPS systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary environmentsSelf-motivated with a strong desire to learn and apply best practicesPassion for buildings, construction, and innovative designPreferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in Electrical Design or a related field3+ years of semiconductor facility experienceFamiliarity with NEC and electrical design standardsAspen Technical StaffingCELEBRATING 25 YEARS          ~2001-2026~We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
