Title I / Family Engagement Supervisor - Claiborne County Schools' Central Office

A Title I Family Engagement Supervisor in a Tennessee public school oversees federal compliance and strengthens partnerships between home and school to improve student achievement. Key responsibilities include creating family engagement plans, organizing training for parents/staff, monitoring Title I compliance, and fostering community partnerships to support high-poverty schools.Key Responsibilities And DutiesCompliance & Planning: Develops, monitors, and evaluates the district or schoolwide Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy and School-Parent Compacts to ensure compliance with ESSA regulations. Family Partnerships: Plans, hosts, and promotes workshops, trainings, and meetings to educate parents on student academic standards, assessments, and school improvement initiatives. Communication & Outreach: Serves as a liaison between the school, families, and community, ensuring all communications are accessible and in the preferred language. Staff Training: Collaborates with administrators to train teachers and staff on effective strategies for engaging families and improving school climate. Data & Reporting: Gathers data to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement activities and prepares reports to document activities for state reporting. Resource Management: Develops support resource access and connects families with community resources.Professional Development: Serving as a mentor, trainer, or coach to other teachers to improve teacher quality. Required Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesUnderstanding of Title I: Knowledge of ESSA/Title I requirements, parent engagement expectations, and federal compliance. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to engage with diverse families and staff. Organization: Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate district-wide workshops and meetings. Technology Proficiency: Experience with data entry and creating informational materials. QualificationsTN Professional Educator's Licensure Prior experience in education, community outreach, or parent engagement is usually required, with specialized knowledge of Tennessee regulations often preferred.
