Our client, a highly regarded law firm, is seeking an Employment Law Associate or Of Counsel with 7+ years of experience to join their team in Irvine, Los Angeles, or San Diego. We would like someone that's willing to be hybrid in one of the locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney to provide day-to-day legal counsel to employers, develop workplace policies, and lead complex employment matters.
Key Responsibilities: Advise employers on day-to-day employment law issues, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws
Draft and review employment policies and procedures, including handbooks and workplace policies
Handle ADA and FMLA matters, providing guidance on accommodations and leave management
Draft and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and severance agreements
Conduct workplace investigations and provide management and employee training on employment law matters
Provide proactive legal counsel to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active admission to the California Bar is required
Minimum of 7 years of employment law experience, with a focus on counseling employers and policy development
Strong writing and analytical skills, with experience drafting employment-related contracts and policies
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team
