Position Purpose: We are searching for a proven leader who is driven, energetic, self-motivated, and adaptable and who has a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience with a smile. As a THB General Manager, you will have oversight of and responsibility for the general operations of the restaurant and the coaching and development of your team. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Maintain accountability for overall business operations Oversee the opening and closing of the Bagelry, maintaining a welcoming environment, from the first through the very last minute of business hours Lead the team through each shift efficiently and effectively Coach and mentor team members, recognize high performing team members, support career advancement opportunities Promote an exceptional guest experience, modeling the right behaviors, greeting guests, conducting table visits, and coaching the team to ensure guest satisfaction Ensure company policies and procedures are followed Build and enhance sales and control costs to meet budget expectations Create schedules that provide a high level of guest service and maintain quality of life for the team Maintain and control inventories to THB standards, ensuring product quality Continuously strive to recruit, onboard develop and maintain a strong staff in order to create a great team environment, using approved interview and hiring standards Build relationships with other local businesses and the community Keep the Bagelry clean and safe, monitoring compliance with all regulatory standards Promote and ensure a safe environment for our guests and team members Be a menu expert, knowing everything about everything, taking orders and assisting in food preparation as needed Execute on necessary tasks outside of the Bagelry, such as catering delivery, banking transactions, and/or product pickup and delivery during the workday Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned or as required in response to ever changing business needs Requirements: Qualifications, Required Knowledge and Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age Proven work ethic, punctual Dedication to providing exceptional customer service Good communication skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Exceptional team building capability Basic business math and accounting skills Strong analytical/decision-making skills Basic personal computer skills Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills are a plus 1+ years' experience working in food service or retail environment 2+ years' supervisory experience, food service or retail environment preferred (shift leader, assistant manager, general manager, etc.) Must have a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle before, during and after the workday Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent Additional Info: Working Conditions: This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment with access to kitchen equipment in tight quarters Slip resistant shoes are the standard for the team Physical Activity: Must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs) are also required.
