Job DescriptionAptive Resources is seeking a local contract nurse RN Skilled Nursing for a local contract nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Skilled NursingDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexibleEmployment Type: Local ContractSpinal Cord Injury (SCI) Registered NurseCompensation: $60.00/hr plus $5.09 for Health and WellnessPosition SummaryThe SCI RN provides specialized care for patients with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions, supporting both acute stabilization and long-term rehabilitation.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoringAdminister medications, IV therapy, and specialized treatmentsProvide bowel/bladder care and wound managementAssist with mobility, ADLs, and rehabilitation goalsCoordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planningEducate patients and families on long-term care needsDocument care in EHRWork Environment- Acute SCI unit and long-term care settings- Focus on rehabilitation, complication prevention, and quality of lifeMinimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)Current BLS certification (ACLS required for ICU/ED)Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experienceStrong English communication and documentation skillsAdditional RequirementsAbility to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysCompletion of VA-required training (safety, HIPAA, EHR, etc.)Compliance with credentialing and privileging standardsAbility to float between units as neededAbout Aptive ResourcesAptive is a federal health company built on one belief: the people who need care most shouldn't have to wait.
