Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory procedures and techniques, with a focus on patient service and care. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for the collection and processing of blood specimens, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in accordance with established protocols. Duties Perform venipuncture and blood sampling on patients with precision and care Collect, label, and process specimens according to laboratory protocols Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent contamination Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and specimen details Monitor patients' vital signs before and after procedures to ensure their well-being Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any concerns or questions with empathy Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care initiatives Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to phlebotomy Requirements Proven experience in clinical laboratory settings or hospital environments preferred Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen processing Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture and blood sampling Knowledge of medical terminology related to patient care and laboratory work Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and support Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a healthcare setting A commitment to ongoing professional development in phlebotomy practices Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.50 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
