Interventional Radiology Location: Louisville, KY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,147 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Imaging Technologist Profession: Tech Specialty: Special Procedures/IR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 days a week) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of interventional radiology experience License: State Radiology Technologist License Certifications: BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (VI) within 18 months (preferred) Must-Have: - Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology - Image quality assessment - Effective patient communication - Patient positioning expertise - Familiarity with imaging techniques - Understanding of radiation safety - Operation of imaging equipment - Infection control practices - Quality control techniques - Supervision of students - Strong customer service skills - Confidentiality compliance - Age-appropriate communication skills - Patient teaching abilities - Knowledge of physical and functional growth and development - Proficiency in PACS and EPIC Description: Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Must be able to communicate the nature of exams to patients and relieve their anxiety. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Demonstrates the ability to supervise students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training. Applies knowledge to produce high-quality diagnostic images while meeting or exceeding department guidelines. Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional competence through participation in continuing education. Takes a customer service approach in all interactions with internal and external customers. Communicates clearly and concisely with all levels of individuals while complying with confidentiality requirements. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age-related needs of the patients served. These skills include age-appropriate communication, safety needs, patient teaching, and understanding of physical and functional growth and development. Uses imaging equipment, PACS, and EPIC to process and retain images and exam-related information. Utilizes radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
