We are looking for a Quality Inspector who is responsible for inspecting materials and products at incoming, in-process, and final stages to ensure conformance with quality standards and customer expectations. This role works closely with the Production Department and is actively involved in day-to-day production activities to verify compliance with established standards and recommended practices.
Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain inspection and test status of products throughout all stages of the reconditioning process, including receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications, performing visual and dimensional inspections, rejecting unacceptable materials, and documenting results in required reports.
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to weld shop personnel and supervisors.
Verify rework and repair of non-conforming products and ensure corrective actions are completed appropriately.
Track non-conformance and failure history and assist with developing charts or documentation to support quality analysis.
Perform corrective actions related to nonconforming materials.
Maintain measurement and inspection equipment by conducting in-house calibrations using tools such as calipers, height gages, digital protractors, and torque testers.
Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by promoting quality, safety, cleanliness, and organization within the area of operation

Quality Inspector Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including MS Office applications.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
Minimum of 1 year of Quality Assurance or Quality Inspection experience inspecting materials and using measuring equipment (preferred).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate documentation.
Ability to work effectively with individuals at various levels within and outside the organization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Quality Inspector Work Conditions:
Work is primarily performed on the production floor and yard, with frequent interaction in an office environment.
Production floor and yard exposure requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to safety-toe footwear, hearing and eye protection, reflective safety vest/clothing, and respirator.
Position involves occasional lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds.
Use of common hand and power tools may be required.
